In Loving Memory of

Lucas James Lavenson

June 23, 2003 - January 27, 2025

I know the road you walked was anything but easy

You picked up your share of scars along the way

Oh, but now you're standing in the sun

You've fought your fight and your race is run

The pain is all a million miles away

The only scars in Heaven

They won't belong to me and you

There'll be no such thing as broken

And all the old will be made new

And the thought that makes me smile now

Even as the tears fall down

Is that the only scars in Heaven

Are on the hands that hold you now

“So Lately I’ve been struggling to find the words to express how I feel about a recent event, that really shook me and my family. But I think it’s time to let everyone know about an amazing soul that was taken far too soon. On January 27, 2025 my brother lost a 5 year battle to Mental illness. this shook my world so hard thinking about all the time and effort he put into trying to get better and knowing that the only reason he held out for so long was for me and my family. If you didn’t get the pleasure of meeting my brother Luke well I’ll tell you a little about him, he was a such a kind soul and had an amazing personality, he cared so deeply for his friends and family and would always prioritize other people above himself. He had been dealing with a lot of different things that changed the way he acted on a day to day basis. But through it all he would still always call me to check in on me and see how I was doing even though as time went on more and more I could see he was not the same brother I grew up with but he was still trying to hold on. and I appreciated him so much for that. At first when I got the news it didn’t really hit me right away but as days went by I thought about what it really means and all the future events and things I won’t have my brother for, he won’t be able to come to my wedding and be my best man, he won’t meet my kids, and so many other things that I thought I would have my brother for I won’t. And I guess the whole point of this post was to tell people how amazing of a person Luke was and the kind of impact he left in places he went so I ask if you guys could keep him in mind and just pray for my brother because he was one of the strongest people I know and he didn’t deserve any of this, so yeah. I love you man fly high broodie💔”
